In an interview with ABC News and the Washington Post Tuesday, Chris talked about General Stanley McChrystal's comments to Rolling Stone Magazine, in which he was sharply critical of President Obama and his administration.
"We have a long tradition of civilians being responsible for oversight of the military," Chris said, "and Gen. McChrystal -- if he's going to be the effective, engaged commander on the ground in Afghanistan he needs to be -- has to be respectful of the civilian authorities over him. I'm hopeful that that's gonna be the outcome of his meetings in Washington this week."
